Michael L. Butchy Construction and Plumbing Worker, 80 Michael L. Butchy, a 55-year resident of California and 35-year resident of Yucca Valley, died Aug. 29, 2010, at home. He was 80 years old. The son of Victor D. Butchy and Cora Z. Deluca, he was born April 18, 1930, in Wanamie, Pa. Mr. Butchy served in the U.S. Army. He was in plumbing and construction before he retired. He was preceded in death by brother Adam A. Butchy and sister Joan Crumly, both in 2010. Mr. Butchy is survived by sisters Nancy M. Butchy-Shisler of Yucca Valley, Dolly B. Clifton of Fallbrook and Carolyn K. Wilson of Silver City, N.M. A viewing will be held and a rosary said at noon, followed by a service at 1 p.m., both on Sept. 9 at Saint Anne's Chapel at Our Lady of the Desert School. Interment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange on Sept. 3.
