Merle Frances Mettler was born in Alameda County, California, on March 31, 1907, to Frank and Emma Philbrick. Merle was preceded in death by her son, Donal Mettler, who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her grandson, Donal Mettler, Jr. of Bakersfield and loving nieces and nephews. Private inurnment was under the direction of Peters Funeral Home.
