Melvin Howard Stone August 20, 1933 – August 25, 2018 Melvin, 85 Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife Norma Ruth Royal, whom he married 7-20-1956, his daughter Rebecca, grandson Dustin, brother Darrel and parents Arthur and Martha. He is survived by his twin brother Marvin, son Mark, grand kids Tanda, Zane, Candice, Kayley, great grand kids, and Nieces and Nephews. Melvin graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1951. After which he joined the Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Once he returned home he worked at Pacific Bell for 37 years. He was involved with his son Mark's BMX Racing and coached his daughter Becky's G.B.A Softball team. He enjoyed many years deer hunting with his brother in Green Horn and fishing with family at Bass Lake. After retiring he and his wife Norma enjoyed playing bingo with friends at the casino. Melvin was a wonderful and caring family man and will be missed dearly.
