Melvin Eugene Smith 73, of Eufaula passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Eufaula Manor. Melvin was born on May 10, 1936 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Lemons Charles and Dolly Jane (Lucas) Smith. He attended school in Wasco, California. Melvin retired from Purex, where he had worked as a Labored. Survivors include: two brothers: MC Smith and wife Bernice, of Antlers, Oklahoma; Sterling Smith and wife Carol, of Wasco, California; one brother in-law: JC Crook and one special friend; Sylvia Gore, of Longtown, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parent; Lemons Charles and Dolly Jane (Lucas) Smith; two sisters; Juanita and Winifred and one brother Bassal. Graveside service was held at Wasco Memorial Park on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11 am. The Family wants to give a special thank to the Eufaula Manor for all their great care.
