Mauricio Jesus Canales was born November 5, 1985 in El Rebalcito, Jalisco, Mexico to Mauricio and Leticia (Uribe) Canales. During his school years Mauricio was involved with track, running and the long jump, where he excelled. He won many championship awards in Mexico. The family to Wasco in 2002 and Mauricio was currently working in the local dairies. He is survived by his parents, Mauricio and Leticia of Wasco; brothers, Christian and Oscar of Wasco and Maximiliano of Sacramento; sisters Lizette and Andrea of Wasco; grandparents, Manuel and Andrea Canales of Mexico and Juana Lomeli of San Jose; and many other loving family members. His grandfather, Refugio Uribe, preceded him in death. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be said Thursday, August 23 at 10am at St. John's Church. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, August 22 at 7pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will be at Wasco Memorial Park.
