Mary Rosario Nuñez was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 31, 1964 to parents Jesus Hinojosa and Petra Flores. Mary was raised in Kern County her entire life and enjoyed her job as a waitress at local restaurants. Mary was a loving person who shared her honest sense of humor with family and friends. Mary loved visiting family in Los Angeles with her cherished dogs at her side. Mary's days off were often spent at the casinos or socializing with friends. Mary is survived by her husband, Abel Nuñez; son, Abel Anthony Nuñez; Gina Marie Nuñez; brothers, Juan Hinojosa, Jessie Hinojosa; 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Hinojosa and mother, Petra Hinojosa father- in- law, Fermin Nuñez and mother -in- law, Manuel Nuñez. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 2- 8pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, CA. A mass will be officiated by Father Raul A. Sanchez Flores Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1pm at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco, Ca. A burial will follow services at Wasco Memorial Park.
