Mary E. Moon, a former 40-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died Feb. 15, 2009, in Vista. She was 84. Mrs. Moon was born May 11, 1924, in Marysville, Wash. She and her husband, Charlie, lived in Twentynine Palms for 40 years before moving in 2004. Mrs. Moon is survived by her brother, Neal Palm of Marysville; sons Charles F. Moon of Vista and Donald of Fallbrook; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13 at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at Point Loma, San Diego.
