Mary Pauline Kyle 1926 - 2011 Longtime Bakersfield resident and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Pauline Kyle, 84, passed away at her residence at The Lodge at Maple Creek in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Wednesday, April 6, 2011. She was born in Cowlington, Oklahoma, September 11, 1926, to John and Kate Holeman. She lived in Oklahoma during the dustbowl days before her family moved from Oklahoma to California when she was 10 years old. She attended schools in the Lamont area and Bakersfield High School. She was married to Jimmie Ray Kyle on January 19, 1950, in Bakersfield. During World War II Pauline worked in an airplane factory outside of Phoenix, Arizona, riveting aircraft wings. She later worked as a Realtor in the Bakersfield area for a number of years. Mrs. Kyle is survived by three sons and one daughter, Jim (Robin) Kyle, Simi Valley, Calif., Helen (Alan) Blanchard, Greenville, Mich., Harvey (Tamara Emerson) Kyle, Bakersfield, Calif., Rick (Shirley) Kyle, Lake Isabella, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Linda Kyle, Bakersfield; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Cassie) Blanchard, Kentwood, Mich., Joshua Blanchard, Clare, Mich., Christopher Kyle, Porterville, Calif., Katie (Jimmy) Jennings, Bakersfield, Sabrina Pruett, Bakersfield, Sarah Kyle, Bakersfield, Angela Gholson, Lake Isabella, Calif., Charles (Becky) Gholson; six great-grandchildren, Hannah Blanchard, Kentwood, Mich., Courtney Kyle, Bakersfield, Calif., Jerimiah Jennings, Bakersfield, Calif., Zane Carter, Bakersfield, Calif., Charles Gholson III, Lake Isabella, Calif., Kaila Gholson, Lake Isabella, Calif. Mrs. Kyle is also survived by her brother, James Holeman, Eufala, Okla., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kate Holeman, her husband, Jimmie Ray Kyle, her son Michael Kyle, by three brothers, Joseph, Robert and Dale Holeman, and two sisters, Louise Glover, and Patricia Mott. Pallbearers will be Jim Kyle, Harvey Kyle, Rick Kyle, Christopher Kyle, Jimmy Jennings and Alan Blanchard. Graveside services were Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 1 p.m., at Arvin Cemetery.
