It is with shock and sadness that the family of Mary L. Kroeker announce the untimely passing of her death at the age of 65. Mary was born in Ciudad Acuna in the state of Coahuila, Mexico and moved with her family to Shafter, California in 1969 at the age of ten. She graduated from Shafter High School in 1977, became engaged and married in 1978, and mothered her four children in the years to follow. Mary spent her time working in and out of the home while raising her children and settled down for the remainder of her adult years as a resident in Bakersfield, California until her passing.

Mary will forever be remembered for her excellency in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals and desserts for her family and friends. She enjoyed being active in her children's sports and achievements as they were growing up, and often enjoyed watching classic hallmark movies and crime television. Although later in life she presented with reoccurring challenges, her death came upon family and friends suddenly.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Refugio and Julia Gamboa, brothers Manuel, Gilberto, Samuel and Rogelio Gamboa, and sisters Rosavelia Montoya, Graciela Sanchez, and Maria "Tita" Sifuentes. She is survived by her brother Rafael Gamboa, her sister Irma Reimer, her four children: Michelle, Blaine, Julianna, and Jacob, and her grandchildren. In honor of Mary Kroeker, there will be a viewing and a memorial service offered on November 14, 2024.
