Mary "Louise" Jackson was born December 5, 1937 and passed June 11, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. Louise was born to Nola Idella Britt and Albert Lumsden in Tyler, Missouri. She came to California and married James "J.C." Jackson on December 1, 1958 in Fresno. She lived in Arvin the majority of her life, raising generations of her family, which were her most prized possession. Louise enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and family. She also very much enjoyed the company of loved ones. Louise was a grandmother to all who gave her the opportunity. The immediate family would like to give thanks to friends and extended family for being here in our time of need. Louise was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband and brother, James Lumsden. She is survived by her children, Jerry Jackson of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Rhonda Jackson of Bakersfield, Sharon Gutierrez of Arvin and James Jackson of Maricopa. She also left behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous friends. A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 1pm at South Kern Cemetery for Mary Louise Jackson, age 71, of Arvin who passed away June 11, 2009 in Bakersfield. Pastor Graham Bell of the New Life Church of God officiated the service and interment followed. Visitation was held Monday, June 15, 2009 from 2pm to 8pm at Arvin Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers were T.J. Jackson, Sammy Gutierrez, Bradley Cowan, Jorge Gonzalez, Jason Pumphrey and Jeremy Porter.
