Mary Ann Few was born November 24, 1936 to Lee (Martin) and Lucien Houser in Little Rock, Arkansas. The family moved to California when she was in elementary school, living in Bakersfield and Taft. She attended Taft High School and graduated from Wasco Union High School where she met her future husband Bobby Lee Few. They were married July 10, 1952 in Wasco and celebrated 53 years of marriage when Bobbie passed away in 2005. Ann loved gardening and plants and opened a nursery and gift shop "Earth & Things". She later owned and operated the Cinderella Restaurant and Boysenberry's Restaurant. Ann also kept the books for Bobby's floor covering business. Ann was a great cook, enjoyed working in the garden, reading and loved being right. Ann also had a gift for writing and wrote poetry and words of wisdom that she shared with her daughters. Ann was a member of the Griffith Avenue Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Few, her mother and father. Ann is survived by her daughters, Pamela Ann Wheat of Taft, Kimberley Susan Andrews of Wasco; grandchildren, Robert Lee Miller and wife Olivia, Matthew Afton Andrews, Loni Ann Wehunt and Harry Lockwood Wheat; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. They will deeply miss her the rest of their time on earth without her. A special thank you to everyone at Optima Hospice A graveside service will be held Friday, July 10 at 2pm at Wasco Memorial Park under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
