Martha Matilda Reddick was born August 29, 1927 in Erick, Oklahoma, one of eleven children born to Maude (Brewer) and William Harvey Hart. The family moved to California when Martha was 14 years old. She married Glenn Reddick March 10, 1957 and they lived in San Bernardino until he preceded her in death and she moved back to Wasco. She worked for 15 years for Beacon Oil Company; but most of her life she was a homemaker. She loved to cook, embroider, read and travel. Martha's travels took her to visit with family in Oklahoma and Kentucky. She is also preceded in death by her parents, William and Maude Hart; siblings, Graddy, Ora (Franks), Havard, Herman, Bill, Lois (Adkins), Etta Lee (Morris), Wayne, Oletta (Quail) and Jimmy. Martha is survived by her two daughters, Glenna Unruh and Brenda Douglas; 6 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lifehouse Parkview Convalescent Hospital and Optimal Hospice for their care and concern this past year. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 16, at 2pm at Peters Funeral Home for Martha Matilda Reddick, age 84, of Wasco who passed away March 9, 2012 in Bakersfield.
