Marion G. Marmolejo, Jr. "Junior" was born on June 16, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. He was called home on to be with the Lord on July 31, 2016. He moved to Arvin, California at the age of 6. He attended local schools and resided in Arvin until his death. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He married and raised four children. He was a Los Angeles Rams football fan since his youth and was excited that they were returning to Los Angeles. He is survived by his wife Vicky Marmolejo, Sons Leonard Marmolejo and wife Bernie of Bakersfield, Lonnie Marmolejo and wife Sherry of Bakersfield, Lawrence Marmolejo of Arvin, Daughter Lana Villarreal and husband Joe of Bakersfield, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for viewing at 4 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2016 with Rosary at 7 pm at the Arvin Funeral Home. A catholic mass will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Thomas Church in Arvin, California followed by burial service at Bakersfield National Cemetery at 10:45 am.
