Marilyn was born on May 28, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa. She passed on into the loving arms of Jesus on August 16, 2008. She had resided in Bakersfield, California since 1956. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Max Newboles. She is also survived by her daughter, Lori Brewer-Ferguson and her husband Eric, of Visalia, CA, and her two sons, David Newboles and his wife Julie, of Bakersfield, CA, and Matthew Newboles and his wife Elizabeth, of Monarch Beach, CA. Survivors also include seven grandchildren, Christina and Kevin Brewer, Nathan and Jacob Newboles, and Alec, Alyssa and Aidan Newboles. Marilyn was active for many years in the Norris School and North High School Parent Teacher Associations. She loved to work outside in her flowerbeds and bake and cook goodies for the kids and grandkids. She was sustained by her faith and passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Her greatest love was her family and she was very proud of all their accomplishments. Private services will be held for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or KAXL Christian Radio. Marilyn was a gentle, peaceful, beautiful soul and she will be greatly missed. If a gold medal could be presented for World Class Mom/Wife/Grandma, it would go to Marilyn. You will be greatly missed by us all.
