Mariano Moya "MOYA" Our beloved dad, husband, brother, uncle and grandfather passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family. He was originally from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and at a very young age moved to San Benito, TX where he met and married his wife of 49 years. He was a very kind and loving man with a beautiful smile who would always give to anyone in need. He was easy to love and his heart was filled with compassion, love, forgiveness and a giving spirit that the impression he left will last forever. He opened his arms and his home to anyone willing to visit, laugh, and stay for dinner. A resident of Wasco since 1977, Mr. Moya was known in the Ag Industry as Almond Harvesting was his life and passion since the early 1970's. He contracted farm labor with farming companies throughout Kern, Tulare and Madera Counties. His best times were spent surrounded by his family; get-togethers, family outings, he loved the beach, Vegas and Mexico. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, four sisters and six brothers. He leaves behind his loving wife, Guadalupe Moya; one daughter, Marcie Moya of Wasco and three sons, Mario Moya of Wasco, Ray Moya and Enoch Moya of Bakersfield; 7 grandchildren; Ericka Moya, Zachary Moya, Adrian Moya, Jonathan Moya, Caleb Moya, Andrew Moya and Jackson Moya; 2 great-grandchildren, Ilisa Rae Moya and Logan Moya Hobbs; one sister, Francisca Aviles of Brownsville, TX; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved him so dearly and he will live forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Wasco, CA. Graveside immediately following. For more info call 661-344-6061.
