Maria Rosas was born in Lytton Springs, Texas on November 9, 1932 to Alfredo Rosas and Julia (Salais) Rosas. Maria married Juan Cantu Tello and together they raised their family. She owned and operated a restaurant. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and making quilts for everyone. She always took pride in her appearance and loved to go shopping. Her memory will live in her families' hearts forever and will be dearly missed. Maria passed away on July 6, 2015 in Bakersfield, California. She was survived by her children John Tello, Angela Tello, Modesta Tello and Lucia Garcia; grandchildren John Robert Tello, Juleah Celeste Tello, Rete Garcia, Michelle Pitts, Irene Navarro, Victoria Castro, and Alex Castro; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Alfredo and Julia Rosas and husband Juan Tello. A graveside service was officiated by Father David Enriquez at Shafter Memorial Park on Friday July 10, 2015 at 1pm. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 4-8pm.
