Visitation was held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary, 8601 Hall Road, Lamont, California on Thursday, October 27th, 3 pm to 8 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial was Friday, October 28th at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment following at South Kern Cemetery District. Maria Delgado Rosales was born January 5th, 1927, in Texas to Juan Longaria and Eluteria Ramirez. Maria's occupation as a cook spanned 45 years. One of her greatest pleasures was making homemade flour tortillas for everyone, and she also made wonderful tamales. Maria found great enjoyment working in her garden. She loved to dance and travel to the mountains. What brought Maria complete fulfillment and joy however, was spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Loved ones left to mourn her passing include her sons, Cresencio Jr., Robert, and Raul; daughters, Luz, Sara, Inez and Irene; brother, Pablo Delgado; sister, Irma Longaria; 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Cresencio and her son, Ramon.
