Maria Demetria Ocampo Rios was born in Jalisco, Mexico on February 18, 2012 to Jose and Maria De Jesus (Rios) Ocampo. She did labor work in agriculture for over 30 years and she was a resident of Kern County for 31 years. She was married to Luis Omar Ochoa Gonzalez. Maria Demetria Ocampo Rios is preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Jose Ocampo and brothers, Guadalupe Ocamo and Candido Ocampo. She is survived by her husband Luis Omar Ochoa Gonzalez; brothers, Jose Felix Ocampo, Arnulfo Ocampo, Juan Ocampo and Jose Ocampo; sisters, Rosa Ocampo, Dolores Ocampo and Teresa Ocampo. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home for Maria Demetria Ocampo Rios, age 65, of Wasco, who passed away in Bakersfield. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church. Father John Fluetsch officiated and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation was held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Peters Funeral Home from 4-8pm.
