Maria Rebecca McCurdy, age 57, of Visalia, California, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009. She was born August 30, 1951 in Bakersfield, to Jose and Eulalia Pena. Maria was raised in Tehachapi, California; she was a member of neighborhood Church in Visalia. Maria is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Eulalia Pena, sister, Carmen Mendoza. and is survived by her daughter Keely McCurdy, son; Kyle McCurdy, grandson Roman Hignojoz, all of Visalia; sisters; Irene Riley, of Columbus, New Mexico and Priscilla de Lira, of Wasco, and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held from 1 to 5 pm Friday, August 21, 2009 at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco. There will be Memorial Service at Neighborhood Church in Visalia at 6 pm, Friday, August 21, 2009. Private Graveside Services will be held at Wasco Memorial Park Saturday, Augusts 22, 2009
