Maria De Los Angeles Vasquez was born June 9, 1932 to Juan Atayda and Maria De La Luz Badillo. She was born and raised in Rodeo, Durango, Mexico to a big family. At an early age, Maria moved to the United States where she met the love of her live Antonio B Vasquez. Together they shared many wonderful years and raised 8 beautiful children. Maria loved to spent time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, going dancing, and traveling with her loved ones. On December 10, 2015, Maria passed away surrounding by her loved ones. She will be greatly miss but never forgotten. She is survived by her sons, Jose Vizcarra, Thomas Vasquez, and Jesus Vasquez; daughters, Martha Estrada, Rosa Maria Velasquez, Angela Vasquez, Concepcion Vasquez, and Lucita Vasquez; sisters, Guadalupe, Nativida, Sarah, and twin sister Altagracia; brothers, Carlos, Jesus, Celso, and Juan; 23 wonderful grandchildren and 40 beautiful great grandchildren. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be officiated by Father Jorge De La Torre on Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 10am. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Arvin Funeral Home at 4pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm.
