María Evelia was born in Cadereyta Jimenez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on June 1, 1922 to Ismael Garcia and Maria de Jesus Galindo de Garcia. Maria resided in Wasco, CA for fifty-one years. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, Jesus S. Gutierrez. Her survivors include her sons: Americo Garcia, Valeriano Garcia, Ramiro Garcia and Jesus Gutierrez, daughters: Mary Ronquillo, Stella Kidd and Maria Mata-Sanchez, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. We have been blessed to have her for 89 years. She was a devoted, caring mother who will be truly missed. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Peters Funeral Home, 1401 7th St., Wasco. The Memorial Service will be will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church, 1300 9th Pl., Wasco with the Graveside Service to follow at Wasco Cemetery.
