Maria Dolores Barron Rodriguez 1929-2012 Maria Dolores Barron Rodriguez was born November 21, 1929 to Pascuala Aguilar and Jesus Barron in Guanajuato, Mexico. She relinquished her journey in this world on Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Shafter, attaining the age of 82. Maria Dolores was raised in Mexico, but she lived in Kern County for the last 22 years. Maria married her husband, Pablo Rodriguez in 1945. She was a proud mother and a devoted Catholic. Maria took joy in gardening, cooking, and most of all in creating memories with her loved ones. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Pascuala Aguilar and Jesus Barron. She is survived by her husband, Pablo Rodriguez; her sons, Álvaro Rodriguez and wife Margarita, Pablo Rodriguez and wife Maria Isabel, Sergio Rodriguez and wife Dolores, Ignacio Rodriguez and wife Martha, Javier Rodriguez and wife Maria C., Arturo Rodriguez and wife Raquel, and Antonio Rodriguez and wife Graciela; one daughter, Delia Rodriguez; her brother, Luis Barron; sisters, Carmen Leon, Margarita Barron, and Guadalupe Guardado; 20 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation for Maria will be held at Peters Funeral Home, on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 2-8pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Therese's Catholic Church in Shafter. Father Pedro Umana will officiate and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitación de María Se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Peters, el Viernes, 09 de Marzo 2012 de 2 a 8 pm con el rezo del Santo Rosario comienzo a las 6:00pm. Misa de cristiana sepultura se iniciará a las 10 am el Sábado, 10 de Marzo 2012 en La San. Iglesia Católica de St. Teresa. Padre Pedro Uman oficiará El cortejo fúnebre seguirá en el Parque Memorial de Shafter.
