Guadalupe Arevalo 1930 – 2017 Maria Guadalupe Arevalo was born May 9, 1930 in Michoacán, Mexico to parents Jose and Rita Arevalo. Guadalupe enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She liked to sing and also tend to her garden. Guadalupe will be remembered for her cooking and care given to her family. She enjoyed watching Mass on TV when she wasn't able to attend. Guadalupe is survived by her children, Jorge Vargas and Irene, Maria Ester Vargas and Dionicio, Maria Eugenia Trujillo and Francisco, Maria Isabel Cardenas and Hector, Maria Guadalupe Vargas and Roberto, Eva Alicia Camargo, and Jesus Vargas and Lupe; and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Fabiola Barajas; and her grandchildren, Jorge Vargas Jr., Alicia Camargo and Angel Vargas. Guadalupe Arevalo died February 25, 2017 in Shafter, CA. A viewing was held at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4-8pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass was conducted at St. Therese's Catholic Church at 10am, on Friday, March 3, 2017. Father Walter Colocho officiated and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park. Ella fue precedida en la muerte de su hija, Fabiola Barajas; y sus nietos, Jorge Vargas Jr., Alicia Camargo y Ángel Vargas. Guadalupe Arévalo murió el 25 de febrero de 2017 en Shafter, CA. Se llevó a cabo una visita en la casa funeraria Peters en Shafter en jueves, 2 de marzo de 2017 de 4-8 pm con la recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6pm Misa de Funeral se llevó a cabo en la iglesia católica de Santa Teresa en 10am, en viernes, 3 de marzo de 2017. Ofició el padre Walter Colocho y entierro seguido en Shafter Memorial Park.
