Angela Munoz was born May 20, 1934 in Tubac, AZ. She married Manuel Munoz from Wasco and in 1952 they made Wasco their home. Angela was a devoted member of the St. Johns Catholic Church and spent her time involved in many philanthropic church endeavors. She was an active member of the Guadalupano's Society from the age of 17 and served as president for numerous years. She was also a member of the Catholic Elizabeth's League for six years. Angela enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, as she and her husband were strong supporters of Wasco athletics. Her selfless giving and consideration for others made her a mother figure to many. She was always there to give her love and support to her family and friends in every way she could. Angela worked for Shafter Convalescent Hospital for two years and National Health Services for 15 years. She retired in 1995. She is survived by her nine children: daughters and spouses, Delia and Jesus Gonzalez of Peram, MN, Severa and Jesse Chacon of Bakersfield, CA, Helen and Marco Orozco, Cecilia and Oneil Myrie, Christina and Eli Salinas; sons and spouses, Albert and Eleanor Munoz, Billy and Anna Munoz, Manuel Munoz, and Edward Munoz all of Wasco, CA; siblings, Daniel, Willie, and Molly Alegria, and Josie Robles; 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Manuel Munoz, her parents Thomas and Maria Alegria, and her two sisters, Delores Torres and Hope Nunez. Holy Rosary will be recited Friday, February 26, at 6pm at St. John's Church for Angela Munoz, age 75, of Wasco who passed away February 22, 2010 in Bakersfield. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 27 at 10am. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9pm and Friday from 2 to 6pm at Peters Funeral Home.
