Maria Guadalupe was born in Freeport, Texas on October 13, 1932 to parents Jose Flores and Olivia Alaniz. Maria married Jesus P. Albiar on June 26, 1949 and together they raised their seven children in Shafter, California. Cha Cha as she was known by many, worked in agriculture and Rose fields for many years. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. Maria spent her time sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and tending her garden. She especially loved family gatherings dancing and enjoying time together. Cha Cha is survived by her children, Jesus P. Albiar Jr. of Bakersfield, Lydia Albiar Reyna of Shafter, Anita Flores Albiar of Bakersfield, Esther Albiar Prendez of Bakersfield, Teresa Albiar Hernandez of Shafter, Carlos Flores Albiar of Bakersfield. 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesus P. Albiar; son Ramon F. Albiar; granddaughters Regina A. Prendez and Angela Albiar; Sarah Albiar; great grandson Uriah A. Prendez; great granddaughter Cynthia Gutierrez. A Graveside Service will be officiated by Pastor Raul Moreno at Shafter Memorial Park on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10am. A viewing will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 from 2-8pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm.
