Maria P. Acevedo was born on March 22, 1926 in Guanajuato, Mexico to parents Emiliano Acevedo and Juana Parra. Maria raised eleven children, and provided a loving home. Maria was a hard-working mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a loving and caring woman, who was a role model to all. She often gave advice. Maria enjoyed tending to her garden every day. A devote Catholic, Maria did everything for God until her last day. Maria embraced Gods heavenly arms on August 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children, Socorro Gomez, Aurelia Nuez, Jose Manuel Acevedo, Maria S. Acevedo, Celina Castro, Rosalinda Rodriguez, Olga Acevedo; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughters; Beatrice Guevara, Adela Gutierrez, Reynita Acevedo; son, Misael Acevedo. A mass of a Christian Burial was officiated by Father Lucas Azpericueta Thursday, August 10, 2017. A viewing was held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 12-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, CA. Ella es precedida en la muerte de sus hijas; Beatrice Guevara, Adela Gutirrez, Reynita Acevedo; hijo, Misael Acevedo. Una misa de un entierro cristiano fue oficiada por el padre Lucas Azpericueta jueves, 10 de agosto de 2017. Un velorio fue mircoles, 09 de agosto de 2017 de 12-8 pm en la funeraria de Peters en Shafter, CA. Recitacin del Santo Rosario fue a 6pm.
