Margie L. White February 24, 1933 – July 25, 2009 Mrs. Margie White passed away July 25 at her home in Taft at the age of 76. Margie was born in Quinton, Oklahoma to Edward and Starlie(Fitzer) Smith February 24, 1933 and moved to the Shafter area shortly after. She had worked as a checker for FoodTown in Shafter and HallMart in Taft. Margie is survived by her husband Alvin White Sr. , Sons: Timothy White of Bodfish and Kenny White of Bakersfield. Daughters: Terri Williams of Shafter and Crystal Johnson of Ohio. Brother Kenneth Smith and his wife Omega of Shafter. Sister: JoAnn Aller and her husband Dee of Whittier. 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Graveside service was held July 29 at the Shafter Memorial P02/ark under the direction of Peters Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Mike Polly of the Shafter Valley Bible Church.
