Margie was born near McAlester, Oklahoma to Rev. and Mrs. G.E. Lackey. She graduated from Bakersfield HS and then Cal Baptist College where she met and married Layton Lynch. They attended Golden Gate Seminary, and served as missionaries in Taiwan 14 years. Margie served with her husband at Greenacres Southern Baptist Church and worked at Cal State Bakersfield for 17 years. Margie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Layton Lynch; son Nathan Lynch, daughters Mary Knight and Carola Nott, nine grandkids and one great-grandson. She has 5 surviving sisters; Pearlie Shipley, Bertha Secrest, Mamie Larson, Arvena Patterson and Millie VanDenHoek, and one surviving brother, Emmett Lackey. Her brothers, Albert and Alfred Lackey preceded her in death. Margie passed away quietly, and we rejoice that she is now in heaven with Jesus. A memorial service will be held at The Bridge Bible Church at 12225 Stockdale Hwy on Saturday, March 24 at 11:00 am.
