Margarita Cervantes, age 77 was born to Maria (Sepulveda) and Pedro Cervantes in Jalisco, Mexico and passed away June 26, 2008 in Shafter. Margarita came to this country in 2003 to live with her children in Shafter. Margarita is survived by her nine children, Carlos and wife Enedina of Jalisco, Roberto of Texas, Porfirio and wife Juana of Stanton, Alvaro and wife Ramona of Jalisco, Julian and wife Angelina of Shafter, Jaime and wife Graciela Angelina of Shafter, Maria Guadalupe and husband Isabel of Jalisco, Paula of Shafter and Maria Concepcion and husband Geronimo of Shafter; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on June 20 at 10AM at St. Therese's Church in Shafter, Fr. Guillermo Vasquez will officiate and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home held at Peters Funeral Home on June 29 from 12 – 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM.
