Manuela Nunez was born July 19, 1924 in Durango, Mexico to Concepcion (Felix) and Jesus Jose Corral and entered into rest July 29, 2009 at her home in Wasco at the age of 85. Manuela married Fermin Nunez August 19, 1949 in Buenos Aires, Durango, Mexico and they moved to Wasco where they raised eight children. Manuela was a stay-at-home mom, taking good care of her husband and family. Fermin passed away on September 30, 2008. Manuela is survived by her sons, Reyes and Fermin, Jr., both of Los Angeles and Abel of Wasco' daughters, Juanita Parkhill, Yolanda Miester, Frances Trujillo and Lucy Montelongo, all of Los Angeles and Alice Nunez, of Wasco; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Sunday, August 2, at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home for Manuela Nunez, age 85, of Wasco who passed away July 29, 2009 in Wasco. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 3, at 10am at St. John's Church. Reyes Nunez, Fermin Nunez, Abel Nunez, Larry Nunez, Larry Parkhill, Domingo Montelongo and Dean Trujillo will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 2, from 2pm to 8pm.
