Mae Dean Robertson was born July 28, 1930 in Hermleigh, Texas one of 5 children born to Martha (Hawkins) and Oscar Wilcox. Mae graduated from Wasco Union High School. Shortly after graduation she married Larry Robertson on June 12, 1949. Mae and Larry enjoyed camping with family. Going to Morro Bay to spend time with family and friends was a highlight of their younger years. Larry preceded Mae in death, August 19, 2010. Mae worked as a secretary for Cattle Center, Maple Leaf Farms, Wood Stone Farms; and retired from Semi-Tropic Water District as office manager after 20 years of service. Mae is survived by her son, Gerald Robertson of Susanville; brother, M.A. Wilcox and wife Vernice; sisters, Betty Wood and Sandra Baliey and husband Michael; granddaughters Samantha and Erin; 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Wilcox (and wife Joanne); and brother-in-law, Thurman Wood. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 11am at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Mae Dean Robertson, age 85, who passed away January 15, 2016 in Shafter. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 20 from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home.
