Lupe Sanchez was born September 30, 1918 to Virginia and Luis Ortega in La Puente, California. She married Toribio Sanchez and in 1936 they made Wasco their home. Lupe was preceded in death by her husband, Toribio Sanchez, infant daughter, Margarita, sons, Tommy Sanchez and Martin Sanchez; grandson, Robert Marines; her parents, two sisters and three brothers. Lupe's death marks the end of her generation. Lupe is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Sylvia Sanchez, Tony Sanchez, Eddie Sanchez, Reyes Sanchez, Margaret and Justo Marines, Alice and Louis Montecino and Angie and Brad Height, all of Wasco; 34 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 11 at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home, for Lupe Sanchez, age 91, who passed away at her home in Wasco on March 5, 2010. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said Friday, March 12 at 10am at St. John's Church. Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 11 from 2pm to 8pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
