Lupe was born on December 29, 1951 in Mesa, Arizona to Raymond Amador and Amelia (Vega) Amador. Although born in Arizona, Lupe was raised in Shafter and attended local schools. She loved being a homemaker and watching her children grow into responsible adults. Lupe often gave advice to everyone, especially to her daughter- in- laws. She would give advice about life, unity, and marriage. Lupe valued family gatherings, particularly on the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Lupe danced and cooked at all the family gatherings. Family was important to her, most importantly her children. Lupe constantly teased her son, Gilbert was still her baby, even though he was an adult. She had a great sense of humor as well as a loving, caring heart. Lupe would help anyone in need and show them an endless amount of love. Lupe's illness may have slowed her down sometimes, but she always managed to clean her home immaculately and attend family functions. Lupe was 63 years old when she went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2015. Lupe is survived by her husband James Dooley of 10 years; sons; Gilbert (Kalyn) Amador, Michael (Amanda) Acosta, David (Selena) Acosta, Chuckie Dooley, Chad (Cassie) Dooley; daughters; Lorrie Ortiz, Michelle Dooley (Peter Ford); brother; Richard (Aida) Amador; sisters; Amelia (Alfredo) Vela, Jenny (Robert) Romero, and Rosemary Pierce (David Marrs); 30 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Amelia Amador; Stepdaughter; Belinda Dooley; sisters; Martha Amador, Helen Urbina; brothers; Jimmy Amador, and Daniel Amador. A mass of a Christian Burial was officiated by Father David Enriquez on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10am at St. Therese Catholic Church. A visitation was held Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 4-8pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, California with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm.
