Obituary

Lula Etola Mosley

Etola was born on March 18, 1928 in McCrory, Arkansas. She passed away on May 9, 2026 in Shafter, CA.

As a teenager, she met her future husband, Floyd (Doc) Mosley,in Kensett, Arkansas.

They were married on August 4,1945. They moved to Buttonwillow, CA. in 1948 where Floyd started working in the farming industry. In 1963, they formed Mosley Farms and Etola began keeping the books for the farm.

In 1988, they moved to the Shafter area and expanded their farming operation. Etola maintained the farm’s books for more than 50 years.

Etola always enjoyed spending time with her family. She made it a point to remember each birthday and anniversary and to send a card for each one. We have fond memories of her chasing the grandkids around the yard with a bullfrog and occasionally the grandsons with a shovel, even though she was terrified of mice. She enjoyed playing board games with the grandkids for hours on end. She was a prolific reader and would read a 200 page novel in a couple of days

Etola was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd (Doc), her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Logsdon (Arkansas) her brother, Denis Dunham (Louisiana), her sons, Jerry (Sharon) Mosley, Randy (Elaine) Mosley, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.

Her legacy will continue through her family and she will be greatly missed.

The family takes comfort in knowing she is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
