IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucy Erin
Denison
December 27, 2010 – February 9, 2012
Lucy Erin Denison, cherished daughter of Marc and Lindsay Denison, went peacefully home to God on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Lucy laughed and smiled on her mother's hip for the entirety of her 13 months of life. She was a remarkable baby who "trilled" instead of crying and who's giant, toothless "Elmer Fudd" grin lit up every room she entered. She had mastered the art of dancing on her knees and gleefully greeted her father home from work every night with a triumphant squawk. Though her time on Earth was fleeting, her impact was profound. Those who were blessed to have known and held this little "Forever Baby" are forever changed. She will be missed beyond words and will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who so dearly loved her. Lucy will be greeted in heaven by her maternal great grandparents, Dr. Robert "Doc" and Annette Douds, of Bakersfield. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her older brother Jack, age 3; her paternal great grandparents Noble "Mac" and Stella McMurtrey, of Bakersfield; maternal grandparents Gene and Betsy McMurtrey, of Bakersfield; paternal grandparents Early and Noel Denison, of Houston, Texas; aunts and uncles David and Amy Hurst, Dan and Katy Raytis, and Mike and Megan Echeverria, all of Bakersfield; Early and Jessica Denison of Dallas, Texas; Richard and Carilee Rodwell of Fort Worth, Texas; Clayton and Katherine Gring of Houston, Texas; and numerous cousins. A rosary and visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17 at 10:00 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, with Monsignor Craig Harrison presiding, followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery located at 3700 River Boulevard. A reception will follow at the St. Francis Church hall. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, Lindsay and Marc have requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148 / Tribute Account Lucy E. Denison; Tribute Number 30259076.
