Louis was born to parents Jesus and Emelia Santibanez on December 24, 1916 in Bakersfield, CA and passed away on July 20, 2008. Louis attended Bakersfield High School, and served in the United States Army in Alaska and France and was very proud of his service to his country. Louis worked for 50 years as an owner and operator of his custom upholstery shop. He was a longtime member of the YMI. He enjoyed playing golf and attending to his rose bushes. He loved traveling to Morro Bay and taking trips to Las Vegas. Louis was always full of life and enjoyed spending time with all of his family. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carmen; his daughter, Elizabeth Ornelas; grandchildren; Angela Ornelas, Janean Sousa and husband David, Kathleen Bozzo and husband Steve, great grandchildren; Alicia and Devin Graham, Haley and Justin Sousa, and Gianna Bozzo, all who reside in San Jose CA; his brother in law, Samuel Alderete of Maine, and his sisters in law; Marcelina Gonzalez and Mary Louise Alderete who live in Bakersfield CA. Louis is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jesus and Emelia and his brothers; John and Manuel Santibanez. A visitation for Louis will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 2-8pm. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10:00am at St. Frances Catholic Church, Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery
