Lorraine Curran entered eternal life on August 3, 2009. She was 81 years young. While her passing was very unexpected, we know that she is now encompassed by total love and peace. She is survived by her three children, Nancy Mutch of Jackson, TN; Allen Mutch (Lynn) of Tacoma, WA; and Mary Casey (Jim) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her three step-children, Michael Curran, Marsha Burbridge (Bob) and Nancy Curran. She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Hookway and Barb Hookway of Jackson, TN; Bob Mutch of Bakersfield, CA; Kristi Jaeger (Andreas) of Bakersfield, CA; Andrew Mutch (Ellen) of Lacey, WA; and great grandchildren, Kalei Bright, Lauren Mutch, Dominic and Breanna Jaeger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Curran and her twin sister, Charmaine Tanner. Lorraine was born in Saginaw, MI and played a number of sports during her high school years. She was a wonderful cook, mother and homemaker. Her professional career was dedicated to bookkeeping for family businesses. Lorraine enjoyed playing golf and had 3 holes-in-one to her name, two of which she scored at Bakersfield Country Club. She spent many days playing in the ladies golf tournaments as well. She also played bridge and enjoyed the friendship of a widows' group nicknamed "Ladies of the Evening". She lived the last seven years of her life in Colorado Springs playing golf and bridge and traveling with Mary and Jim on several pleasure trips. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, August 7, 2009, 2:00 p.m., graveside at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Friends and former neighbors are encouraged to join the family in celebrating her life.
