Lorenzo Ortega Salinas, age 56, of Shafter, California, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on August 10, 1969 in Palo Grande, Morelos, Mexico. Lorenzo lived a life defined by love, hard work, kindness, and dedication to those he cared about most. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend whose strength, wisdom, and resilience touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Throughout his life, he worked as a Farm Equipment Operator for Sun Pacific for 24 years and took great pride in providing for his family. He enjoyed playing soccer and if he wasn't playing he was watching soccer.

Some of his happiest moments were spent when the world cup was on. He was always talking about how excited he was the world cup was this year and how the TV was going to be playing the games non-stop

Above all else, Lorenzo cherished his family. He is survived by his wife Celia, his kids Oscar, Lorenzo, Fernando, Juliana, Omar, Hugo, Ulises, Brandy, Leslie, Yesenia, and Angel, his grandkids Zoey, Rene, Jayen, Danny, Aniya, and Kayliana, his siblings Conrado, Marcelo, Dolores, Juan, Maria De Jesus, Leo, Sergio, and Pedro. He was preceded in death by his parents Margarito and Teresa, his brother, and his daughter Yesenia.

Those who knew him will remember his work ethic, love for soccer, growing love for all sports, and his resilience. His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that one day we will reunite in heaven. His memory will remain with us till then.
