Lora Fay Key passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in Shafter California. Fay was born in Big Sandy, Texas on July 9th 1924. She moved to Bakersfield in 1963 where she worked at various jobs until she settled in Apartment Management. The loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and wife, was happiest when surrounded by her family. She attended Church of Christ in Shafter for many years. In 1944 Fay married James Forest Granger, they had 4 children and were married until 1962. In 1970 she married Delbert D. Key "Blackie"; they were married 45 years until her death. Fay was preceded in death by her father Virgil E. Kelly, her mother Bertha Lena, brothers Richard, Hardtie, sister Runette and her son Erghel Bayne Granger. She is survived by her husband "Blackie", her children Wayne Granger (Connie), Margaret Kelly (Larry), James Granger (Sheri), Darlene Hooper (Buddy), 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00am at the Shafter Cemetery.
