Lonnie Lee Plot passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the evening hours of August 7, 2015. He was 75 years of age. He was born in Arvin, California and passed away in his home in Arvin, with his daughter by his side. Lonnie was a graduate of Arvin High School, served as one of the first volunteer fireman of Arvin, and served for one year as president of the Arvin Exchange Club. His true passion was life, happiness, and his family and trucks. He was a professional driver for over 50 years. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Freeman Plott, his grandson, who was 7 days old, Patrick Jordan Plott, his wife Jo Ann and his sister Loreta Smith. His is survived by his son Brian Plott, his daughter Sheri Plott, his grandson Brice Lee Plott, and many nieces and nephews. As a lifelong resident of Arvin he will not only be missed by his family and friends but by the entire community of Arvin itself. There are few people who can live their entire lives and say in all honestly they have never made a single enemy; Lonnie can truly say this. He is not physical with us now, but his friendly, warm, compassionate spirit will forever live on in our memories and hearts. Memorial Service for Lonnie will be held at 10am on Friday August 21, 2015 at the Arvin Cemetery.
