Lola Wanetta Kelly was born July 25, 1920 to Luster and Dollie (Blair) Scott in Snowball, Arkansas. She moved to California in 1937 living for many years in Arvin. She married Allie Graves and they had three children, and she later married Frank Kelly who preceded her in death. She loved collecting rocks and cactus and going shopping at K-mart. She always had a joke and loved laughter. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Mullin and husband Kermit of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Donald Graves and wife Shirley of Tehachapi, California and Linda West and husband, John of Hilmar, California; grandchildren, Jimmy Mullin, Tammy Venable, Terry Graves, Teresa Sanchez, Lisa Sedlmeyer, and Brian Crume; great-grandchildren, Natasha, Kevin, Marie, BreAnna, Lucas, Jessica, Matthew, Daniel and Amanda; and 1 great great-grandson, Tyson (Scooter); and a host of other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by brother, Glin Scott and sister, Ora Coughran, both of Arvin. A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 9, at 10am in the Outdoor Chapel at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin for Lola Wanetta Kelly, age, 88, who passed away September 5, 2008. Pastor Kermit Mullin, son-in-law of the deceased officiated the service and interment followed. Visitation was held Monday from 2pm – 8pm at Arvin Funeral Home.
