Lois L. Smith, a California resident for 58 years and a 35-year resident of Yucca Valley, died Nov. 18, 2008, at home. She was 90 years old. A native of Canada, she was born to M. Roy Waldrop and Cecil Dunn (Wyles) on Dec. 9, 1917. A teller, she retired from the banking business, in which she worked for Bank of America, after 25 years. Mrs. Smith is survived by daughter Jacqueline Rack of Anaheim, son Charles R. Moore of Bullhead City, Ariz., 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was married to Jack Moore for 44 years and J. Smith for 18 years and was preceded in death by both. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church in Yucca Valley with Pastor Luke Jones presiding.
