IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Daniels
July 22, 1946 – May 10, 2016
Linda Daniels was born July 22, 1946 to parents Willard and Ida (Compelube) Gann in Pima, Arizona. Her family moved to Kern County while she was still a young child, and she has lived here locally for most of her life. Linda married Jim Daniels 32 years ago in Bakersfield. She was well known and well loved for her years working as a yard lady at Karl F. Clemens Elementary School in Wasco. Linda was a great cook, her specialties included her delicious coleslaw and homemade biscuits. She was an avid animal lover with a number of pets that she currently cared for and too many to count throughout the years; she often had a hard time turning any hungry strays away. Linda loved being Jims co-pilot for some long hauls that he made while trucking, often acting as his GPS and personal secretary. She was Native American through and through, and she took great pride in her Choctaw heritage. Linda always looked forward to attending the Standing Bear Pow Wow each year, and one of her favorite hobbies was adding to her collection of American Indian collectibles. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ida; and her sister, Patsy. She is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Gary Tuck and Vernon Phillips; daughters, Victoria Phillips, Monica Phillips, Tracy Kloeppel, Wendy Sigala and Roxanne Yursik; brothers, Willard C. Gann Jr. and Nicky Gann; sisters, Toni Ramay and Debra Curtsinger; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
