Letha Mae Smith 1938 – 2016 Letha Mae Smith was born in Rite, OK on March 23, 1938 to parents, Jimmy and Lillian Franks. She married Ross "Bud" Smith on August 14, 1954 at the Pentecostal Church of God. Letha was a homemaker; she enjoyed sewing and of course quilting with the ladies from church. Her baking skills grew over the years, and her cakes were not only beautiful to look at, but delicious to eat. Letha was also known for her canned salsa, She made lots and gave a lot to others. It gave her great joy to cook holiday meals for all her kids, grandkids, great grand kids and family. She was a member of the Jesus Saves Church for more than 50 years and greatly loved. Letha's family and church family meant the world to her, she was a loving wife to Bud, and will be missed dearly. Letha is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Lillian; and her son, Michael Smith; and sister, Margaret Allen. She is survived by her husband, Bud; daughters, Peggy Warren and Susie Foote; 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Her loving Siblings and their families. Letha passed away at her home in Shafter, CA on July 21, 2016. A viewing was held at Peters Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 4-8pm.
