Leta Mae Camp lost her battle with Alzheimers disease July 12, 2016. Leta was born January 29, 1933 in Bristow, Oklahoma to S.E. and Pauline Brown. The family moved to Wasco, California the same year where Leta attended local schools and graduated from Wasco High School in l950. After graduation from Bakersfield College she went to work for PG&E and continued her studies at Fresno State Extension Night School where she earned her teaching credential. She taught in the Wasco school system for 40 years. Leta was preceded by her parents and her only child Paula Lee Camp. She is survived by her brother, Larry Brown and his longtime companion, Judy Dailey of Bakersfield and numerous cousins. Thanks to caregivers Petra, Cynthia, Dora, Maria, Martha, Canria and Kathy at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions and Lori and Daisy of Hoffman Hospice. Also a heartfelt thank you to Jonna Freymond for her love, compassion and wisdom during Leta's final journey. Graveside services will be held at Wasco Memorial Park, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 beginning at 10am.
