Lenora Fenderson lived a full and happy 90 years. She passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday March 14, 2013. She went to sleep until the Lords returns then she can be with him for eternity. Lenora was born in Lincoln County,Oklahoma on May 8, 1922. She moved to Shafter, California in 1939 after marrying Olin Fenderson. Preceding her in death was her husband of 64 years, Olin Fenderson and son, Robert Dean. She is survived by sons Larry (wife Beverly Welton-Romero) of Loveland, Co., Ted (wife Janet McGraw) of Santa Clarita, CA, and Don (fiancé Joanie Castellano) of Shafter, CA. She has 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Many others also called her Grandma through her life, and many friends. Lenora was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for 53 years. She was a Deaconess of the church for many years. Out of the kindness of their hearts she and her husband Olin, would deliver food and clothing to the needy in the community. She's been approached in the market by many of the children (now adults) from these families thanking her for her kindness. Lenora loved many things but especially her children and grand children. She loved doing crafts of all kids and would share/give them to family and friends. She was always willing to teach her crafts to anyone who wanted to learn them. The family wants to express their thanks to Virginia Bongberg for assisting with Lenora's in home care. We especially want o thank Madelyn, Tonya, Alma, Chaplin Maddie and Gina from Optimal Hospice Care for their guidance and caring support. A Graveside services was held at the Shafter Memorial Park on Thursday March 21, at 10am
