Lelah Cornelius was born in Rotan, Texas on April 20, 1926 to Ruth G. (Barry) and Russell Powell. Lelah was always a very organized and detailed homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Luther F. Cornelius; son Harold and wife Dana Cornelius; daughter Anneita McMinn and husband John; grandchildren, Candis Smith, Damon McMinn, Cornelius Tyson. Memorial services for Lelah Cornelius, age 82, who passed away in Bakersfield, were conducted at Valley Bible in Shafter, CA on February 12, 2009 at 10:30am. Interment was at Shafter Memorial Park.
