LaVonna Irene Nichols was born on September 11, 1930 to Lindsey Nichols and Faye Townsend in Holdenville Oklahoma. At an early age, the family moved to Arvin, Ca. It was the city of Arvin, were she met her beloved husband Frank Watkins. LaVonna and Frank Watkins were married for more than 40 years. They had two beautiful children together. After her husband passing, LaVonna moved to an assisted living facility in Bakersfield. LaVonna passed away on July 5, 2015. She is survived by her sons Bruce Watkins and Carl Watkins; grandson's, Clint Watkins, Phillip Watkins, Ryan Watkins, Devin Watkins, and Erick Watkins; granddaughter's Cybil Watkins and Samantha Watkins. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Watkins. Funeral services will be held at the South Kern Cemetery on Monday July 13, 2015.
