Lavina M. (Smith) Holman passed away on Thursday July 29, 2021, at home with her family by her side. Lavina was born in Bakersfield, Ca on July 2, 1941. She lived in Wasco, Ca until she met and married Jackie Howard Holman, and together they had 3 children. Lavina was a gifted crafter, spending countless hours sewing, canning, crocheting, and doing fine needlework. She crocheted bedspreads, and lap blankets for many of her children, and grandchildren. Lavina was proceeded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack Holman (2018), and her son Kelly G. Holman (1995). She is survived by her 2 daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Mark Duffel, Laurie Holman and John Aaron, her sister Lois Smith Carmen, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 8 great-grandchildren. Each and everyone a joy in her life. The viewing is scheduled for Thursday Aug. 12, 6-8 pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter, CA. Services are Friday Aug. 13 at 10 am at the Home Fellowship Church 520 California Ave, Shafter CA.
