Kimberly Lynn McHenry, 51, of Bakersfield, California, was called to be with the Lord on the morning of December 16, 2023, she was surrounded by loved ones. Kim fought a fast and furious battle with uterine cancer. She was born on November 8, 1972, in Fresno, California to Larry and Sharon McHenry. Kim attended both Foothill and North High Schools, graduating in 1991. She would later go on to study Child Development at Bakersfield College finding her passion and calling teaching preschoolers. She worked at The Little Country Christian Preschool until her passing.

Kim's unconditional love for children included her own three children, to whom she dedicated her life. She donated her time at both Wingland Elementary and Standard Middle school; she participated in Parent Teacher Association and volunteered as a Homeroom Mom.

Kim was blessed with a giving heart and she went above and beyond to help people, even if the lack in her own life was great. She was sunshine, fun, and a little bit of spitfire. Although she never wanted to be the center of attention she was blessed with the ability to supercharge the atmosphere in any room she entered. She had a smile and laughter that was contagious and the ability to make the best of any situation. She was adventurous and competitive she enjoyed biking, hiking, coloring, painting and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with her Dad.

Kim will be missed beyond measure.

Kimberly was survived by a large family which included her Mother Sharon Tatum-McHenry, Brother Ryan McHenry and Sister Cinda McHenry-Garza, her three children, Whittney Telese, Nicholas Telese, and Anthony Telese, her three grand-children Amelia Galland, Elliott Galland, and Finnley Marsh, Niece and Nephews, Chasity Hall, Blake McHenry, and Brandon Garza and Great Nieces and Nephew Caydence Brown Russell, Jonah Brown Russell, and Ciersha Hall.

Memorial service will be held at Westside Family Fellowship on January 20, 2023, beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation.
